Aborted Babies

The bare facts of the matter are:

1] Nobody knows for sure what happens to the spirits of aborted babies.

2] Though the scripture is silent on this subject specifically, the general principles of scripture can be applied to obtain a reasonable conclusion.

3] The principles as I understand them are

a] Nothing imperfect can come before our Holy God.

b] babies though not having rebelled are not perfect

c] there must be some perfecting, cleansing and completing process.

d] we call this salvation and only Christ can do this for us.

e] therefore no one can come before God in heaven without going thru Christ.

f] If anyone is unable by reason of immaturity or mental deficit, yet desires to come to Christ, others are left with that responsibility. That is why the mothers of Salaam brought their children to Jesus.

4] From ancient times, Christians have always committed the spirits of the departed to Jesus, especially children. We follow that tradition.

5] Those we assist in committing their children to Christ experience great relief and are grateful.

6] Since in situations of such great importance, it is better to err on the side of following the whole gospel than any particular reference in the bible, those who assert anyone of any age go straight to heaven, better have some argument or scripture that is very convincing.
So far I have seen none regarding aborted babies.

7] The reference "absent from the body, present with the Lord" refers only to those who belong to Christ, i.e. those who have knowingly asked for forgiveness and committed their lives to Him.
