Five stars plus for the missionary position.

Since the sexual revolution has "liberated" the libido and the media with sight and sound is constantly titillating people and apathetic Christians are retreating, most humans seek to "enjoy" multiple orgasms in as many ways, as often as possible. The missionary position (women on her back and mate gently on top) has become a joke. But maybe the ancients were not so stupid after all. Here are 5 reasons plus why the missionaries had it right.

1. Oral sex. Human papiloma virus has become endemic. Epidemiological studies giving prevalence are usually behind but at least 35% of the sexually active population has one form or another of HPV. Oral sex provides entry of this constantly mutating virus to the mouth and naso-pharynx as readily as it does to the anus and vagina. The result is nasty cancers and infections which are readily passed on to unsuspecting partners.

2. Anal sex. The vagina has tough stratified epithelium and antiseptic secretions that usually and effectively combat bacteria and viruses. The anus has single cell columnar epithelium, which is easily broken by whatever penetrates the anus thus causing bleeding. The blood in this warm, moist environment is an ideal culture for HIV.

3. Ano-vaginal sex. By entering the vagina from behind, the penis may carry bacteria from the anus and leave it to infect the woman's urinary tract. The result could be difficult to treat Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs)
Oral, Anal and Ano-vaginal sex is more likely to result in the partner being treated as a sex object. Since the major intent is orgasms, not intimacy, these preferences are more likely to be dehumanizing. Treating anyone as less than fully human is more likely to lead to sexual sadism and masochism..

4. Masturbation with or without pornography leads to the increased possibility of it becoming persistently habitual (addiction) thru operant conditioning. It may become so thoroughly conditioned that a couple cannot enjoy any sex but masturbation. Those who constantly masturbate are more likely to become narcissistic.

5. Missionary position sex. This is more likely to be mutually satisfying, increase the opportunities for conversation and enhance worship thus improving bonding and intimacy. The woman is more likely to retain the seminal fluid and absorb male generated health sustaining hormones.

Summary

Monogamous, heterosexual missionary position sex has the least chance of contracting and transmitting a viral or bacterial infection, the best chance of intimacy, the greatest opportunity for bonding and enhanced health from mutually absorbed sexual hormones.
