“The Lord Almighty, the God of Israel, says: I will remove the yoke of the king of Babylon from your necks. Within 2 years……”said the prophet Hananiah. ¹ And all of God’s people would seem to say, “Amen, after all we are the people of the Lord. Are we not the most God fearing nation in the world? He will bless us for we praise and worship Him.”

The prophet Jeremiah said, “This entire land will become a desolate wasteland. Israel and her neighboring lands will serve the king of Babylon for seventy years. Then after seventy years of captivity are over, I will punish the king of Babylon and his people for their sins, says the Lord.” ² And all the people who believed they worshipped God aright would say, “Unthinkable. Who are more God-fearing than us? God would never use a bunch of heathens to judge us.”

“Jeremiah responded to Hananiah, “The ancient prophets who preceded you and me spoke of war, famine, and disease. So a prophet who predicts peace must carry the burden of proof… Listen, Hananiah! The Lord has not sent you, but the people believe your lies. Therefore, the Lord says you must die.” ³

“This is what the Lord Almighty says: Disaster will fall upon nation after nation! A great whirlwind of fury is rising from the most distant corners of the earth!” In that day those the Lord has slaughtered will fill the earth from on end to the other.”⁴ “For Israel has forsaken me….And they have filled this place with the blood of innocent children.” ⁵

So what is the point? If you don’t get it, I will spell it out for you. God and His ways do not change. What happened then applies to America, Canada etc. now. We are filling the land with the innocent blood of aborted babies. God will not overlook this. He is patient but He has never let the murder of the innocent go unpunished. He has used a nation or people somewhat more righteous in this regard to discipline his people. Who are more prolife, prohibiting abortion, than any other people on the earth today? The Moslems. Am I suggesting God would use the Moslems to judge a “Christian country” like ours because of our wholesale slaughter of innocent preborn children? Yes.

“Unthinkable,” you say. You think so? Then read history again, particularly the history of Israel. And remember this, also from Jeremiah. “Weep and moan, you evil shepherds! …The time of your slaughter has arrived;”⁶ “If any prophet, priest , or anyone else says, ‘I have a prophecy from the Lord,’ I will punish that person along with his entire family. You should keep asking each other, ‘What is the Lord’s answer, or what is the Lord saying’. But stop using this phrase, ‘prophecy from the Lord’. For people are using their own ideas, turning upside down the words of our God, the living God, the Lord Almighty.” ⁷

Then what must you do? Stop pretending the nation is righteous and that there is nothing you can do to stop abortion. Until we have expended every once of energy and every moment of time we now use for “recreation”, to stop an innocent child from being killed by their own parents, we must grieve, repent, pray very hard and work as never before to stop the carnage and heal those wounded by abortion. “The Lord replied, If you return to me, I will restore you so you can continue to serve me.”⁸

The least you can do is to vote prolife. May God bless America.
